According to ABC's The Note, Sen. John Kerry (D.-Mass.) today called on President Bush to call Congress back to Washington to address the suggestions of the 9-11 Commission. If Bush were to do this, would Kerry actually bother to show up? He has already missed about 80% of the Senate's votes this year-would Kerry and Edwards leave the campaign trail to address the issue of terrorism?
Perhaps Bush should call his bluff and bring them all back to implement the recommendations-and then use the opportunity to criticize Kerry for failing to show.
