Bill Clinton apparently expressed remorse over his sexual relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The Boston Globe reported that Clinton called the extramarital affair "a terrible moral error" in an interview with Dan Rather set to air this Sunday on CBS' "60 Minutes."
Clinton offered that he engaged in the relationship, ??¢â???¬?????just because I could,??¢â???¬ adding, ??¢â???¬?????I think that's just about the most morally indefensible reason that anybody could have for doing anything. There are lots of sophisticated explanations, more complicated psychological explanations, but none of them are an excuse."
Addressing his marriage, Clinton said that the revelation of his affair put him "in the doghouse" with his wife, Hillary. He said that they had counseling every week for a year to repair their relationship.
