POSOBIEC: You don’t make a plea deal with a psycho assassin like Luigi Mangione

"And to give him a plea deal, get him out of two trials, one at the state level, one at the federal level, it's a disgrace."

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec slammed the possibility of a federal plea deal for Luigi Mangione, arguing that prosecutors should take the case against the accused UnitedHealthcare CEO killer all the way to trial.

"The assassin in New York City, big pharma assassin, healthcare assassin, whatever you want to call him. He may be receiving a plea deal tomorrow in his federal case,” Posobiec said. Mangione is accused of stalking and fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan in December 2024. Posobiec condemned the possibility of prosecutors resolving the federal case through a plea agreement rather than a trial.

“Luigi Mangione, a guy who's on video stalking and assassinating an innocent man, a father, a husband, a Christian, a white Christian successful man on the streets of New York City, and they're going to give this freak a plea deal?” Posobiec said. “Are you kidding me? It's ridiculous. It is absolutely ridiculous.”

“People over at SDNY need to get their heads on straight,” he said. “What are you doing in a southern district up there? You don't make a plea deal with a psycho assassin like this. Absolutely not.”

“No, you see it to trial. You see it all the way to trial,” Posobiec continued. “And oh, by the way, oh, by the way, if you're looking at different pieces of it, well, then you know what? Hit him with a superseding indictment if you've got some questions about the trial.”

“You can't allow this type of cancer to fester in our society,” Posobiec said. “You cannot suffer an assassin to live.”

“Understand that this will breed more assassinations and more people will die if you don't, if you don't go as hard at Luigi Mangione as you possibly can,” he continued. “I'm being completely serious here. You can't let these people off the hook.”

Posobiec also raised concerns about the interaction between the federal and state cases against Mangione, arguing that a federal plea could potentially affect the remaining prosecution.

“First of all, by the way, depriving us of a trial,” he said. “Because keep in mind, if he takes a plea deal here, there's now people saying that if the feds give him a plea deal, then that might trigger double jeopardy laws on the state side. So now he's got no state charges either. It's ridiculous. What are they doing? Who is running SDNY right now? Seriously, it's a joke. It's an absolute joke,” Posobiec said.

Posobiec contrasted Mangione’s case with that of Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of killing her three children in Massachusetts.

“I can understand not giving her the death penalty. I can understand that,” he said. “But this, a targeted, cold-blooded murder, rage, envy, resentment, and you're going to give this freak a plea deal? Do you have any idea how stupid that is? Do you have any idea how moronic that is?” Posobiec continued. “These people want to kill us. The children of Luigi are multiplying. The children of Luigi are multiplying. That's why you need to go as hard as possible. As hard as possible.”

Posobiec concluded by arguing that a plea deal would deprive the public of trials at both the state and federal levels.

“And to give him a plea deal, get him out of two trials, one at the state level, one at the federal level. It's a disgrace,” he said.
