A suspected Iranian drone attacked the US Consulate in Dubai on Tuesday, fire broke out but was rapidly extinguished. This comes on the heels of the US shutting down multiple embassies on Tuesday.

"Authorities extinguished a small fire, no casualties," officials said. According to the Wall Street Journal, the drone struck the parking lot of the US Consulate in Dubai, and started a fire with was quickly put out.

Footage of the reported drone strike went viral on X. It was reported that the consulate as well as the buildings around the consulate were partially or fully evacuated before the drone strike took place.

The drone strike took place after the US also shut down a number of embassies in the region, including in Saudi Arabia as well as Kuwait on Tuesday. The US State Department released an update for Americans that were in the Middle East to have them "depart now via commercial means due to serious safety risks."

Countries in the advisories included Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. All those nations are within the line of fire where Iran can strike.

The events take place on the heels of the Trump administration's initiation of "Operation Epic Fury," where the US as well as Israel launched an attack on Saturday morning in Iran, taking out the Iran regime's leadership. Iran has engaged in retaliation strikes, which has led multiple neighboring Arab countries to back the US in the attacks against Iran.
