WILL CHAMBERLAIN and JACK POSOBIEC: The legal case against Becca Good's 'wife'

"The only crimes committed were those by Good, her partner, and all those who aided and abetted their obstruction of law enforcement."

Legal analyst Will Chamberlain said on Human Events Daily that the public narrative surrounding the fatal shooting of Renee Good has been repeatedly misreported, including claims that Becca Good was Renee’s wife, a characterization now confirmed to be false by the family’s own attorney.

Chamberlain addressed reports that six federal prosecutors resigned rather than participate in an investigation into Becca Good, calling it inevitable based on video evidence from the scene. “It’s not actually that surprising,” Chamberlain said. “Once you saw the video that the ICE officer took with his cell phone, you saw that clearly the partner of the driver, this woman, Becca Good, committed a number of crimes just on tape.”

Chamberlain said the video documents what he described as a conspiracy to obstruct law enforcement. “She revealed the existence of a conspiracy to obstruct law enforcement in that video when she talked about how she was going to be there all day,” he said. He continued, “Then she obstructed federal law enforcement. She intimidated, through force or the threat of force, the officer. That’s also a federal felony.”

Chamberlain further alleged that Becca Good encouraged Renee Good to flee arrest. “Then she urged her partner to flee arrest, another felony,” he said. “And then also urged her partner to flee by driving, which is urging her partner to commit an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a law enforcement officer, the most serious felony of the bunch.”

“So in one video, in a minute, you’ve got evidence for four distinct federal crimes,” Chamberlain said.

Chamberlain said accountability for co-conspirators is central to the case. “She is one of the primary reasons that this entire thing happened,” he said. “That Renee Good took this foolish course of action, threatened the life of an ICE officer, and passed away.”

Chamberlain said he publicly called for prosecutions days earlier. “It is extremely important that DOJ prosecute all of Renee Good’s co-conspirators,” he said, adding, “The only crimes committed were those by Good, her partner, and all those who aided and abetted their obstruction of law enforcement.”

Chamberlain also emphasized a deterrence message. “Law can serve a teaching function,” he said. “If you drive at law enforcement and you urge others to drive at law enforcement and they shoot you, law enforcement’s not going to get prosecuted, but you might.”

"Everyone needs to understand that the only crimes committed were those by Good, her wife, at the time, I thought it was her wife, her partner, and all those who aided and abetted their obstruction of law enforcement, because, that's the real story here," Chamberlaine said. I mean, I think that, you know, law can serve a teaching function as well. There's a teaching function that needs to happen here, whereby we and the Trump administration teaches the general public and the left that if you drive at law enforcement and you urge others to drive at law enforcement and they shoot you, law enforcement's not going to get prosecuted, but you might."

The claim that Becca Good was Renee Good’s wife has since been debunked. Journalist Julie Kelly reported that the description of Becca Good as Renee’s “partner” came directly from the family’s attorney.
