I had the pleasure of attending the Genspect “The Bigger Picture” conference on September 27-28, 2025. Genspect is the largest international organization confronting the beast of gender ideology. It has been four years since its inception, and it has come a long way. It may seem like the fight against gender ideologues is nearly over. However, this conference and its speakers demonstrated that, despite significant victories, we still have a long way to go before gender ideology is defeated.
What brought all of the attendees together wasn’t politics, or even religion, but a deep understanding of how harmful gender ideology is, and the recognition that we need to work together to counter it. Many people in that conference room were personally harmed by gender lies or lost their livelihoods for standing up to it. This isn’t a right/left issue. It’s a right/wrong issue.
There are numerous people out there who agree with sterilizing children and surgically mutilating body parts in service to trans ideology. Misleading mentally ill adults, pitting parents against children, placing boys in girls’ sports, and men in women’s prisons is wrong. However, there are still too many people who don’t recognize how widespread the problem is and how deeply the gender ideologues have planted their tentacles into our institutions.
Most people know that men cannot become women, and there are only two sexes. However, too many people have been afraid to say so, and when they do, they are often punished, as was Irish comedian Graham Linehan. The British government arrested Linehan for “wrongthink” tweets. He was interviewed at the conference by commentator Megan Murphy, who was de-platformed from Twitter in 2018 before Elon Musk took over, for stating that a man is a man.
Genspect didn’t shy away from the barbaric nature of what is often glossed over as “gender affirming care.” Plastic surgeon Patrick Lappert showed disturbing, graphic images of phalloplasty and vaginoplasty surgeries and described these procedures in such detail that even people in the know don’t often face. Endocrinologist Dr. Quentin Van Meter did the same about cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers, which do tremendous damage to the body.
Detransitioner Jonni Skinner discussed how his feminine nature and same-sex attraction were exploited as a minor and how he was harmed because he was convinced of the lie that he could just become a woman, find a husband, and blend in. He is not rare. We are hearing more and more stories from detransitioners every day. Their presence continues to grow; they can no longer be ignored, and they deserve healthcare, support, and justice.
Dr Eithan Haim shared his harrowing experience of being interrogated by the federal government for exposing the fact that the Texas Children’s Hospital was committing insurance fraud to continue sterilizing children in the name of “Gender Affirming Care.”
Logan Lancing, the author of "The Queering of the American Child," warned the audience about the goals of queer theory and how it intends to disrupt the norm. He shared that they want to “leave glitter in the carpet” and “queer” all children of the West. It is not like a religion; it is a religion with rituals and orthodoxy to destabilize children.
This destabilization was ever so clear when Genspect put out a press release that it intends to categorize Gender Dysphoria as a mental disorder. The trans activists responded with meltdowns and death threats on the X alternative app, BlueSky. Genspect has created an army of people to challenge the trans activists’ gender religion, and these activists are now showing how dangerous they truly are. It can’t be ignored that several of the latest shooters were connected to the transgender ideology, and these threats must be taken seriously.
Nevertheless, the takeaway from this conference is that more and more people are coming to understand that this isn’t a fringe topic and are emboldened to take action, despite imminent threats to jobs, reputations, and even lives. Gender ideology preys on the vulnerable, and it impacts everyone. All who oppose it must stand up to it because if the tyranny of transgender isn’t stopped, Western civilization will end as we know it.
