KENNY CODY: Trump's swift aid in Texas is a stark contrast to Biden's pathetic Helene response

False narrative psyops will continue throughout the second Trump presidency, but Americans can see through this grifting leftist charade.

This past week, the state of Texas suffered an unbelievable natural disaster that has cost the lives of at least 82 citizens, and the search is on for nearly two dozen children from Camp Mystic, a girls-only summer camp on the Guadalupe River. While the Trump Administration issued immediate aid to the region and the President himself plans to visit in the coming days, the left have already used the tragedy to demonize all in sight.

It's essential to acknowledge the swift and decisive action taken by the Trump Administration in response to this crisis, which demonstrates its commitment to the safety and well-being of all Americans.

In the face of this tragedy, the affected communities have shown remarkable unity and resilience, a testament to the strength of the Texan spirit. However, before even knowing how many people are missing or what other avenues need to be explored to save as many lives as possible, Democrats are already beginning to blame Trump and the Republicans for the tragedy in a similar fashion as they did Hurricane Helene and the Republican leaders in those areas. This is no surprise, but the audacity to prop themselves up on a tragedy is telling for how desperate they are to make the GOP look as bad as humanly possible.

Even though the National Weather Service (NWS) sent out different warnings, timed their announcements appropriately, and made pleas to the public for safety during the flooding, the left have already tried attacking the perceived cuts to the service as a reason for the flooding and the loss of lives.

Almost immediately, these claims were proven incorrect by conservatives online, such as TimCast co-host Phil Labonte, who quickly cited the appropriate warnings and alerts issued by the NWS during the events in Texas. In even more grim fashion, there were posts by figures such as leftist political influencer Destiny that were making jokes about the children's deaths in the tragedy, and Houston pediatrician Christina B. Propst stating on Facebook that the ones dying in the tragedy were Trump supporters who were "getting what they voted for."

These statements, of course, were not a shocking revelation of the left's politics or how they feel about their opposition, whether it's a popular social media star or simply a pediatrician from one of the country's largest cities. These positions are precisely how they feel about those who disagree with them politically, even if it is at the cost of making fun of the lives that have been lost.

The false narrative the left has created is that the Trump Administration cuts to the NWS and the conservative governing body of the Texas state government were the reasons behind this tragedy, when it could not be any further from the truth. Despite staff cuts, the NWS responded with timely warnings as confirmed by experts. The service issued flood warnings twelve or more hours in advance, flash flood warnings three or more hours in advance of the floods.

It provided clear communication to the general public, enabling them to prepare for such a catastrophic event. Governor Greg Abbott, in coordination with the Trump Administration, led a rapid response effort. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem also signed a Major Disaster declaration for Kerr County, Texas, along with President Trump. Despite criticism that actions could have been taken to achieve more than what was accomplished, this was as unpredictable an event as could have been, and the response was as coherent as was possible.

In the same way that the left is posing this tragedy as preventable, we are reminded of the way the Biden Administration and many members of the left treated the Appalachian areas of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina during Hurricane Helene. We heard nothing from the left about the lack of response to these areas that cost more than two hundred and twenty-five deaths, which were largely ignored or pushed aside to solve other states' issues from the tragedy.

State leaders continued to lambast Biden's lack of response and FEMA funding, yet were told by Democrats that the efforts were incredible. It was the states' conservative leaders who were to blame, due to a lack of concentration on climate change, for their states' suffering, which left leaders to go to other efforts to bring aid to their region. Even when former President Biden said that he was "done" sending aid to Appalachia during the Hurricane Helene response, the left continued to praise his response and the federal government's assistance to the region, acting as if we should all of a sudden have selective outrage towards the Trump Administration's response in Texas.

The left will continue to paint Trump as a failed leader with no empathy, even though his response in Texas was not only appropriate but also practical. The Trump Administration's reaction included immediate aid to the region, the President's plan to visit the affected areas, and the signing of a Major Disaster declaration for Kerr County, Texas.

As seen in my home in East Tennessee, we are still suffering from the inadequate response and funding gaps from FEMA during the Biden Administration. For the left to attempt to paint Trump's reaction is not only false, but laughable. They want Republican areas to suffer, and will stop at nothing to blame Trump for any tragedy that occurs throughout the nation. False narrative psyops will continue throughout the second Trump presidency, but Americans can see through this grifting leftist charade.
