DAVID KRAYDEN: John Kelly's support of Harris shows the Deep State is no longer anti-communist

This is another desperate attempt by another Deep State actor to destroy Trump’s presidential campaign and to influence the election for the Democrats.

This is another desperate attempt by another Deep State actor to destroy Trump’s presidential campaign and to influence the election for the Democrats.

We had what was supposed to be an October surprise in the revelation Wednesday that former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly thinks former President Donald Trump is a “fascist” who said Adolf Hitler did “some good things.” It was similar in so many ways to that ridiculous declaration from the so-called “intelligence community” that the Hunter Biden laptop, an electronic dossier of corruption, was nothing more than “Russian disinformation.” It amounted to a letter of support for then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden four years ago, just before the 2020 election.

This is another desperate attempt by another Deep State actor to destroy Trump’s presidential campaign and to influence the election for the Democrats. Before we explain why this is happening, just imagine for a minute what is happening, because it is truly shocking. You can say all you want about Kelly’s service to America as a general in the United States Marine Corps but that just makes what he has done to Trump all the more grievous and disgusting.

Can you imagine Bob Haldeman, who was chief of staff to President Richard Nixon, going to The New York Times and calling his former boss a fascist, an authoritarian, an admirer of Hitler, a danger to democracy, a man who didn’t understand the Constitution or the president’s relationship to it? Haldeman remained true to Nixon for the remainder of his life, even through his memoirs, where he might have been critical of Nixon’s methods, but never his basic intellectual ability to be the leader of the Free World. And Nixon, you may recall, was a president who was considered in the immediate aftermath of the Watergate scandal and his resignation as the one of the worst occupants of that office in history and one of the most hated men in history by a majority of Americans.

Bob Haldeman and Nixon both hated The New York Times as the very pinnacle of what they called the liberal media but what we refer to today as the mainstream media. The New York Times had published The Pentagon Papers and Nixon and Haldeman saw it as a disloyal media outlet that worked against American security and dangerously exposed the lives of those “American boys” serving their country overseas. They hated The Times as being emblematic of that smug, liberal establishment that hated NIxon because he didn’t go to the right schools or belong to the right clubs or repeat the accepted talking points.

But John Kelly went to The Times to spill his guts about Trump being an existential threat to America? But John Kelly has learned how to talk the talk of Hillary Clinton? But John Kelly, a supposed lifelong anti-communist, has done his very best to support the presidential campaign of a quasi-Marxist named Kamala Harris?

Read Kelly’s words and they sound like Democratic talking points or an episode of The ReidOut with whacko MSNBC host Joy Reid. “So certainly, in my experience, those are the kinds of things that he thinks would work better in terms of running America,” Mr. Kelly said.

He added: “Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

“He’s certainly the only president that has all but rejected what America is all about, and what makes America America, in terms of our Constitution, in terms of our values, the way we look at everything, to include family and government — he’s certainly the only president that I know of, certainly in my lifetime, that was like that,” Mr. Kelly said.

Now you know, Trump couldn’t allow that to stand, especially when Kelly also lent his supposed credibility to those obviously baseless reports that Trump disparaged the service of America’s fallen and seriously wounded military personnel as “suckers.”

So Trump expressed his absolute disdain for Kelly in a Truth Social post.

"Thank you for your support against a total degenerate named John Kelly, who made up a story out of pure Trump Derangement Syndrome Hatred! This guy had two qualities, which don't work well together. He was tough and dumb. The problem is his toughness morphed into weakness, because he became JELLO with time!" Trump wrote. "The story about the Soldiers was A LIE, as are numerous other stories he told. Even though I shouldn't be wasting my time with him, I always feel it's necessary to hit back in pursuit of THE TRUTH. John Kelly is a LOWLIFE, and a bad General, whose advice in the White House I no longer sought, and told him to MOVE ON! His wife once told me, at Camp David, John admires you tremendously, and when he leaves the Military, he will only speak well of you. I said, Thank you!"

Yes, you would think that the very least that Kelly could offer Trump today would be a few words of encouragement as he heads into the final two weeks of an election campaign after going through four years of political persecution from the Biden-Harris regime. But no, Kelly had to eviscerate Trump beyond belief, as only a Deep State actor can do.

So why does Kelly so badly want Trump to lose this election? The timing is everything here. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign is floundering, perhaps even imploding under the weight of Harris’ overweening narcissism and policy vacuity. She cannot conduct a rational interview with any journalist, even those who are in the bag for her. She has offered first time home buyers a taxpayer-funded $25,000 down payment plan and promised to stop “price gouging” in the grocery stores. It’s more of the big spending socialism that Biden has promoted over the past four years.

But Harris has always been identified by the Republican true believers as one of the most far-left Democrats in the system. She loves government control of the economy and whatever fragments of fiscal policy she is offering in her presidential campaign echoes that passion for big government.

Harris recently clarified her economic philosophy, telling Telemundo, “I am a capitalist. I am a pragmatic capitalist.” This reminded me of a famous but commercial interview of celebrated broadcaster Ed Sullivan interviewing Fidel Castro just before the Cuban revolutionary seized power. Castro explained that he couldn’t be a communist because he was a good Roman Catholic and that apparently simple logic convinced many Americans that Castro was not a threat.

So why is Kelly working to get Harris elected? Why did former Vice President and former Defense Secretary Dick Cheney endorse Harris for president? Why would these lifelong anti-communists and supposedly stalwart Republicans endorse a quasi-Marxist like Harris for the presidency and dismiss Trump as a cheap huckster, a dictator-in-waiting, a contemptible moron and a man entirely unworthy of the high office of the presidency?

It all comes down to something they love even more than America’s freedom: their belief in the Military-Industrial Complex that continues to make billions of dollars for establishment insiders through the foreign wars that Trump is again promising to shut down. It all comes down to something they hate even more than communism: a world focused on trade and prosperity that benefits the many and not wars and conflict that benefit very few. Just like the intelligence community wanted Trump out in 2020 because he knew the US has about 12 intelligence agencies too many and the work it does best is spying on Americans, so the RINO establishment and Deep State fixtures would rather have Harris transform America into another Venezuela or Soviet Union than their shares in Raytheon lose a single percentage in value.

That is the stark reality of America in 2024.
