In just three weeks, arsonists burned down nine churches in Europe. The anti-Christian hysteria was noted by the Observatory of Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, the National Pulse reported Thursday.

Three of the attacks targeted Catholic churches in the Netherlands. The recent spate of arsons started on Aug. 25 in Bad Wörishofen, Germany, where both the church and the altar cloth went up in smoke, creating damages of several thousand euros.

The fire at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Saint-Omer, France on Sept 2 is being blamed on a suspect with links to both the extreme left and the Islamic State, sharing their material on his social media sites. The individual has allegedly tried to set fire to 15 other churches.

The most recent arson occurred on Sept. 15 at St. Anthony the Abbot Church in Wijchen, in the Netherlands. The assailants set the church ablaze after ransacking the interior of the building and burning up icons, Bibles, and devotional material.

In the United States, vandals, thieves and arsonists have targeted 452 Roman Catholic churches since May 2020, with 57 in 2024 alone, the Pulse noted. The Biden-Harris Department of Justice has denigrated pro-life Catholics as domestic terrorists while Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris did not attend the recent Al Smith charity dinner, an annual homage to the first Catholic candidate for president. Former President Donald Trump blasted Harris for “not caring about these good works” that proceeds from the event fund.
