Special guests Jep and Jessica Robertson from Duck Dynasty joined Jack Posobiec on Thursday's episode of Human Events Daily to talk about their new book with Brave Books, Dear Valor.

The couple, who have 5 kids together, explained that their youngest, Gus, was adopted, which inspired the storyline for their children's book. "Valor is a tiger, he's adopted by Lion parents, Fiona and Arthur," Jessica explained, "and our Gus is a black child adopted by a white family, and so we've had those talks with Gus. Even as a two-and-a-half, three-year-old little boy, he would say, Why do I have brown skin and you have gray skin, Mommy?"

They said that they decided to partner with conservative publishing company Brave Books to "write something that would maybe inspire other children to see adopted kids in a different light and basically, empathize with some of the things they go through, either whether they're adopted or whether they have something else that's different than them."

Brave Books, she said, "instill biblical values, traditional values. You never have to worry about what's going to be in a book." She added that Gus loves their books and "I never worry that he's going to read something he shouldn't read."

Jep later said that he was excited to partner with the same publishing company Posobiec himself has used, alongside Riley Gaines, Kirk Cameron, and Jep's sister, Missy Robertson. "To be honest with you, there's a lot of junk on the market, so we're trying to combat all this other stuff ... What about just some good old, wholesome stuff? That's what we're into," he said.
