A porn-addicted Indian man was arrested on Wednesday for the murder of his 13-year-old daughter after she refused to have sex with him, police said.

The father, 35, of Miyapur, reported his daughter missing to police on June 7 after he allegedly killed her in a forest for resisting his sexual advances. Police found the victim's decomposed body in the forest on June 14, according to The Times of India.

Police documents state that the victim ran away from home on June 7 because she did not want to stay with her parents. A family member spotted the child on the road and informed her father. He arrived to pick her up on a bike and told her they were going to get firewood in the forest.

He walked his daughter into the forest and allegedly tried to rape her. She screamed out and told him that she would tell her mother. The father then allegedly beat his child unconscious and smothered her to death, the police report said.

Surveillance video footage captured the pair walking into the forest but only the father was seen walking out.

The father went home and changed his clothes then returned to the forest to see if his daughter was dead. He then went to his wife's workplace and told her that their daughter was "missing" and filed a report with the police.

Investigators said that the father made multiple trips to the police station pleading to officers to find his missing child while he was in tears.

Authorities said the father committed the crime while under the influence of a porn addiction.
