Iraq has reportedly launched at least five rockets toward a US military base in northeastern Syria, according to two Iraqi security forces who informed Reuters about the matter.

The rockets were launched from the Iraqi town of Zummar, the outlet said.

This comes as tension increases in the Middle East after the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a recent drone and missile attack on Israel amid its war with the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas.

The White House has yet to publicly comment on the matter.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
