Anti-Israel protesters flooded the streets of London outside Downing Street Monday forcing the Met Police to close roads.

According to Daily Mail, the crows gathered in a "static protest" on Whitehall equipped with Palestinian flags and signs reading "Free Palestine" and "Ceasefire Now."

The Metropolitan Police posted to X: "A static protest is taking place on Whitehall, opposite Downing Street.

"Officers are present to ensure it takes place safely and that any offences can be dealt with.

"Due to the numbers present we have closed the southbound carriageway from Horse Guards Avenue to Parliament Square. This is necessary to ensure the safety of those present and any passing pedestrians.

"We will reopen the carriageway as soon as it is safe to do so."

"For the safety of the crowd we have also closed Whitehall northbound from Parliament Square to Horse Guards Avenue," they later posted. "Again, we’ll reopen the road as soon as it’s safe to do so."

At around 8 pm local time, London police stated that the road had been reopened.

"The crowd has reduced in size. We have imposed conditions on those who remain requiring them to move out of the road and continue their protest on the pavement. Those who don’t comply with these conditions can be arrested. Whitehall has now been reopened for traffic."

One woman was arrested "on suspicion of inciting racial hatred" in relation to a poster she brought to the protest, which featured dollar signs in the center of the Star of David.

Just after 9 pm local time, all remaining protestors had left the area.
