Thousands of parents marched in Canada's "1 Million March 4 Children" protesting the extent to which radical woke gender theory has infiltrated Canadian schools.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets in a protest named the “1 Million March 4 Children” to express their outrage at radical gender theory taking over Canadian schools.

In cities across Canada, thousands gathered to protest what organizers call the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) indoctrination in classrooms. Chants of “Leave our kids alone!” rang out around the country on Wednesday.

At several locations, protesters were met with counter-protesters, some shouting “Your kids hate you” at the parents, grandparents, and concerned community members who attended to oppose radical gender theory. In videos shared by Rebel News Canada, police officers can be seen separating the two groups to ease the growing tensions.

“Police stood between the two groups as the Winnipeg Police Service’s helicopter circled above,” CBC reported from Winnipeg. One protester told the CBC, “What I am against is children being indoctrinated, children making decisions and choices based on an adult coming into … a school system,” adding that she didn’t believe that children could consent to puberty blockers, hormone replacement therapy, or sex-change surgery “before they are mature enough.”

One reporter shared a video to X (formerly Twitter) showing Muslim parents gathering in Calgary and chanting, “Let kids be kids!”

An outlet attempting to explain the parental rights movement sweeping across the United States and Canada vaguely claimed that the campaign seeks to remove “inclusive public education.”

“According to research by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, parental rights mobilizations have coincided with the rise in anti-2SLGBTQIA+ policies,” The Conversation reported. “Organizers of the 1 Million March 4 Children are less cohesive than other parental rights groups, but just as dangerous.”

“[The organizers target] educational sexual orientation and gender identity resources that can be used to help educators make their schools and classrooms safe and inclusive for 2SLGBTQIA+ students.”

“This event is an innocent event for families from coast to coast, for fathers and mothers, and we’re just trying to protect Canada’s kids,” one protester said. “I didn’t expect it to be that big,” another said, explaining, “We had the march spread out through small towns all across the country in cities and towns and everywhere.”

Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau is notably a large proponent of so-called LGBTQ+ rights, which are known as 2SLGBTQI+ rights in his country. He has publicly attended and marched in several Pride parades across the country for several years.
