Jack Posobiec invited Raheem Kassam on Human Events Live Friday afternoon to give his input about the Trump mugshot, the first RNC debate in Milwaukee, and “what the battle space is now, going forward.” Posobiec began by asking Kassam about his relative outlook on the situation.
Raheem responded that he is “relatively sanguine,” noting that the charges against the former president have been well in everyone’s sights for a while. Alluding to the media hysteria surrounding Trump’s mugshot being taken and released, Kassam believes that “it just goes to show you how little they understand about this situation, how little they are prepared for what's going on at the moment,” noting that the left is now probably realizing they’ve set a precedent that could backfire.
“For me, it was a chilling moment in American history… Have we been ready for a while now, for this regime to cross the Rubicon? Yes,” he continued.
Poso recapped the positive support and outpouring after Donald Trump posted his own mugshot to X, formerly known as Twitter, and admired the “grisly” stare the former president gave while it was taken. He pointed out that Trump looked as if he was thinking, “I'm coming to get you, you have pushed me too far, you have gone too far.“ Jack believed that this alone would win over independents and those on the fence going into the 2024 election.
Alluding to the disappointing RNC debate and those who claimed it would “reset the narrative,” Jack responded “Donald Trump is the narrative at this point; He is the center of gravity of the entire world… Only because I do this for a living, could I even tell you anything that happened on that debate stage… I would go so far as to say that over 51 percent of the people on the planet have seen this [mugshot] at this point.”
Kassam reported that Trump himself sent the National Pulse two handwritten notes regarding their reporting and praised the “content of his character to sit down with a pen and say, ‘Hey, I read this article. It was great. Thanks for doing this,’” adding that he’s “blown away by those sorts of things.”
Poso asked Kassam to elaborate on what narrative Ron DeSantis’ campaign is pushing at the moment in regards to polling. Kassam cited a Washington Post poll that claimed, “DeSantis edged it well,” when in fact other polls released proved there was no difference pre to post-debate.
Raheem warned DeSantis supporters that “It’s getting worse, not better. From a political consultant and strategist perspective.”
Jack brought up rumors of a brokered convention and inquired if there was a plot in place to force one, to which Kassam responded he had heard rumors as well.
Kassam said, “It's all Jeff Roe, who for the uninitiated is possibly one of the scummiest… political operatives in the country, if not the western hemisphere… It is always been his plan, to not win fair and square, but to try and knock Trump off the ballot in certain places, and he will work with the far left to make sure that that happens.”
He predicted that “it's not going to be a brokered convention, it will be it will be, I suppose what you guys call Smash Mouth, on the convention floor.”
Kassam concluded about the RNC debate, “everybody on that stage, I think, is full of inconsistencies. And the one thing you can say about Donald Trump is he is consistently Donald Trump.”
