Charlie Kirk tore apart the first Republican presidential debate on his show on Thursday, saying, "the Republican Party is going through a time of choosing, and the regime media is slobbering over Nikki Haley."
Kirk cuts to a clip of the debate in which Mike Pence and Ron DeSantis are caught in a heated exchange, Pence stating, “I think the American people deserve to know whether everyone on this stage agrees that I kept my oath to the Constitution that day. There's no more important duty.”
Speaking of the former Vice President, DeSantis retorted, “I got no beef with him. But here's the thing. Is this what we're going to be focusing on going forward?… I'll tell you, the democrats would love that and they will win if we let them get away with it,” the crowd responded by erupting in cheer.
Kirk pointed out the missed opportunity to bring up election integrity during the clip. In fact, throughout the entirety of the debate, not one candidate mentioned election integrity.
Kirk continued, “Early ballots, chasing votes, securing our elections, signature verification, the way that we conduct our elections in this country? All of this is just a silly coffee table debate if we do not have secure elections, keeping Zuckerbucks out of our elections.”
Charlie additionally calls out the unusual quietness from the candidates about Donald Trump and his former presidential team being criminalized. He notes that some on stage can’t grasp why the GOP base doesn’t like them.
“Because you don't understand that we are living through a cultural revolution right now,” Charlie answers, “This is not a policy debate time. They're acting like it's 2012.”
Kirk mocked the ridiculous amount of times Chris Christie mentioned New Jersey during the debate, alluding to the fact that most of the candidates’ priorities are completely out of line with what is happening in reality right now, stating, “…this is not 2012. They've declared war on us.”
Kirk began to illustrate the direness of the current situation saying, “We are in the middle of something we've never lived through before.”
“If you would have just woke up from a coma, and you watch that debate, do you get the sense that that is the opposition party against the regime?” Kirk rhetorically asks, “That they are ready to go to war against the administrative state, against the shadow government, against the Leviathan?”
He then goes on to list people the DOJ and state DAs are currently after including Elon Musk, James O’Keefe, and MAGA voters. “…this is an all-out crusade using the law fair apparatus to go after any effective person that challenges the regime,” he adds.
“But you wouldn't have gleaned that from the chatter last night."
"How about this? Our Constitution is under attack. The fourth branch of government is swallowing the nation. They are trying to re-found America. That's what they're trying to do. Did you get any sort of sense that the people last night were mad, angry, spirited?”
He observed that the candidates seemed “comfortable” and more focused on Ukraine over America.
Kirk concludes, “Last night was a massive disappointment in that regard. That is not an opposition party. That is controlled opposition."
