Spotify cancels Meghan Markle's podcast after accusations she faked interviews

“Duchess of Difficult,” Meghan Markle recently had her podcast dumped by Spotify and is now being accused of faking her podcast interviews. The news site Podnews is reporting that it “heard from multiple sources that some interviews on the show were done by other staffers, with her questions edited-in afterwards.”

Spotify was not happy with Markle’s work and on the way out, Spotify executive Bill Simmons stated that Meghan Markel and Prince Harry are “lazy, f*cking grifters.” A source told the NY Post that the reason for Spotify’s decision to purge Markle’s contract was that she did not produce enough content.

Speculation started to arise when author Allison Yarrow, a guest in August on Markle’s “Archetypes” podcast, thanked the producer of the podcast for a “great interview.” Andy Scott, who produced "Archetypes," wrote on Twitter, “We did occasionally have producers do interviews, though never the main ones, and we never edited her asking questions into interviews that producers conducted.” Markle apparently was only eager to conduct interviews with major stars like Serena Williams and other notable A-listers.

Markle is looking to extend her podcast series “Archetypes” on another streaming platform soon but will find it difficult as Spotify accuses her of working only 12 hours in the 2 1/2 years of her podcast series.

Historically, Markle has been a problem child for the British royal family by accusing the monarchy of “racism.” Prince Harry, who is chained to his wife Meghan, has been stuck in between all of the drama she has created and this Spotify deal is just the cherry on top.
