POSOBIEC and RITTENHOUSE: Precedent-setting lawsuit brought by Gaige Grosskreutz against Kyle Rittenhouse shows you can 'do everything right' and the 'system will take everything from you'

Grosskreutz's lawsuit is against the city of Kenosha, local officials, as well as Rittenhouse.

Kyle Rittenhouse appeared on Jack Posobiec's Human Events Daily to discuss the lawsuit being brought against him by Gage Grosskreutz, one of the men shot by Rittenhouse in self-defense during the Kenosha riots of 2020.

Grosskreutz's lawsuit is against the city of Kenosha, local officials, as well as Rittenhouse.

"He's suing me for conspiracy assault, emotional distress, and a slew of other things," Rittenhouse explained. "He's seeking a lot of money... a lot of money," he stressed. "Whatever he thinks he's owed."

Posobiec then asked, "Where can people go if they want to know more? And, I want to be very clear that if you go to support Kyle for this, it's not just supporting you personally; it's supporting the right of everyone in the United States to be able to defend themselves if they find themselves in one of these situations - in that proverbial case of being on a dark street on a dark night and a mob of crazed lunatics is coming after you. This is what the right of self-defense and the Second Amendment is all about."

Rittenhouse responded: "Absolutely, you can go to www.givesendgo.com/kylerittenhouse and help support me, and help me fight this lawsuit."

During the interview, Rittenhouse expressed his opinion by saying, "If I lose this lawsuit, it sets a precedent. It shows that if you do everything right and still end up in a situation where you need to defend yourself, the system will take everything from you. They will take everything you have worked hard for, put you through the wringer, and make you responsible for attorney fees, which you will have to pay to save your own life. In the end, you will have to pay a large amount of money for simply staying alive. That's what this lawsuit represents."

He responded to Posobiec's point about the importance of self-defense by expressing his views on the significance of the Second Amendment, stating, "The right to exercise and protect your own life is absolutely essential. If the need ever arises, it is your right to defend your own life. Every individual deserves to live, but what the leftists are doing is taking away our Second Amendment rights, which means that we can no longer protect ourselves. This essentially leaves us vulnerable and powerless to become victims of crime, as it does not prevent criminals from obtaining firearms. The law only stops the law-abiding citizens from exercising their right to self-defense."

Posobiec said that because it is impossible to make owning a gun illegal, that the powers that be want to make it "illegal for you to use guns."

"That's exactly what they're doing here. They don't care if you're going hunting... if you're going to the gun range," he said, noting that the ability to use a gun is most important in a self-defense situation. "I'm sorry, but it's so crazy that I even have to say that we have them on video attempting to kill you and no charges whatsoever," he noted before concluding the segment.
