Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec asked that Biden's axed disinformation czar fess up to the American public, following news that she was subpoenaed.
"Nina Jankowicz, I warned you what would happen if you went down this road, almost specifically, what would happen: you did not comply. Nina Jankowicz, as of yesterday and last night, has been subpoenaed by the House Committee on the Weaponization of the federal government," Posobiec said on the Tuesday broadcast.
The Committee on the Judiciary issued a subpoena to former Disinformation Governance Board, requesting she appear before the Committee on April 10, 2023. In a letter to Jankowicz, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, said that the Committee is "conducting oversight of the so-called 'Disinformation Governance Board.'"
The Committee intends to look into the Board's "creation, its activities, and related matters." Jordan said. "We have repeatedly sought information from you concerning your official actions and duties as a DHS employee and former Executive Director of the Board, including how the Board intended to define disinformation, how it planned to collect information and from what sources, how it anticipated countering disinformation, and how it proposed to protect First Amendment rights."
"Several requests" were sent to Jankowicz for "information relating to" the activities of that Board, but she has yet to comply.
The Post Millennial reported that Jordan said the Judiciary Committee had requested Jankowicz's "voluntary cooperation" in May 2022, and again requested documentation in December 2022, January, February, and March 2023, but that she has "declined to comply voluntarily with our request for a transcribed interview."
"Our oversight of the so-called 'Disinformation Governance Board' and its effect on Americans’ civil liberties fall squarely within the Committee’s jurisdiction and are 'subject[s] on which legislation could be had,'" Jordan's letter states.
"Here's the thing, Nina, you've already been fired and disgraced, but we know that there's other little elements...of your misinformation governance board, that you left behind in the government when you left," Posobiec said. "Perhaps one of those is the foreign maligned influence center, which is being run out of the office of the director of national intelligence. We know about that."
Posobiec continued, saying: "How about Shelby Pierson, the election threats executive that works in the ODNI who said specifically, 'domestic censorship on social media is justified if the IC determines it's foreign-sponsored.' So if you assess that someone in the US is posting on social media, that you can censor them because you believe it's a foreign operation."
"That's why you always tried to tie people like me and so many others to the Russian state, or foreign hackers when you yourself are the foreign agent. You were a registered foreign agent with the Department of Justice, and you had to submit paperwork to the US Attorney General attesting to such, because you're a foreign agent of the UK, you also are a former staffer for the government of Ukraine. You're an agent for them, as well."
"We're going to go through and ask questions about who actually is working for the benefit of foreigners and we're going to ask who is working for the benefit of the American people. We're going to teach you and others like you, what happens to people who don't put America first."
"There's a simple option, Nina. Come clean. Save yourself. Don't protect these people. Shelby Pierson would sell you out in a moment's notice. They would all sell you out. No Harry Potter spell can save you, Nina. It can't. Your little crowdsourcing for your lawsuit, it's not going to go anywhere," Posobiec said.
Yankowicz launched a lawsuit last week against Fox News for defamation, claiming that the broadcaster misrepresented her views. As part of that suit, she discussed her goals with the Disinformation Governance Board.
"The first person to flip gets the best deal, so Nina, this is your offer and it's a one-time offer: Come clean right now, give us all the receipts, tell us everyone you were working with, tell us about the journalists working with Antifa, and the people in the State Department that are putting Americans on lists... We already know. What we want you to do is come clean and name the names, drop the receipts, and then it's all done. You'll be free to walk home and we'll never bother you again," Posobiec concluded, requesting Jankowicz to make an appearance and fess up.
