Joe Biden can add great, white, Mandela fabulist to his resume.
Never forget he once again told a whopper of a lie about his mundane political career to make himself seem greater than he is.
“I got stopped when I was a young senator trying to see Nelson Mandela in South Africa,” Biden said unchallenged during a forum broadcast NowThis News. “Afterward he heard, and when he got released, he came to see me in Washington, and he walked up to me [and] said, ‘Thank you.'”
None of that happened. None of it. Joe Biden made it all up. Again.
He has told this particular lie several times over the years, and it got so bad that even the Washington Post’s biased fact-checker ended up calling it “ridiculous” back in 2020. When Biden did visit South Africa in the 1970s, he was hundreds of miles from where Mandela was in prison. His own press secretary has admitted that he was separated from black politicians in a black-run country, not South Africa. Even CNN had to acknowledge Biden’s Mandela effect lie.
Biden was actually friendly with segregationists at the time he dishonestly claims to have been arrested looking for Mandela, and even NBC News has dismantled his history on this. “His legislative work against school integration advanced a more palatable version of the ‘separate but equal’ doctrine and undermined the nation’s short-lived effort at educational equality, legislative and education history experts say,” NBC wrote in 2019.
Separate but equal? From the man who claims Nelson Mandela hunted for him in Washington just to thank him?
Joe Biden has a habit of lying without fear or principle. Remember when he ran for president as a moderate unifier, only to attack America’s energy producers and foist divisive and counterproductive woke training on the US military as soon as he was safely in office? He has governed from the hard left and would use a narrow advantage in Congress to seize permanent power for Democrats if he could.
Remember when he trashed Georgia’s election security law as “Jim Crow 2.0”? That law is less restrictive than the laws in his own state of Delaware, and turnout among black voters increased after it was passed. But Joe Biden doesn’t care. The truth is little more than a slight inconvenience to him.
Biden’s lie ended up taking jobs away from black businesses in Atlanta, which was supposed to host the MLB All-Star Game, and instead moved them to lily-white Denver, Colorado. He didn’t care.
As far back as the 1970s, Ronald Reagan had Biden pegged as a “smooth but pure demagogue.” That means he could and would easily lie without conscience to gain political advantage as he thought it suited him. That’s all he’s ever done.
Here’s some reality in South Africa that Joe Biden will never admit: It was a white South African leader who dismantled apartheid and freed Nelson Mandela. That man was President F.W. de Klerk. Elected to South Africa’s presidency in 1989, de Klerk set about changing his country and righting wrongs. He lifted the ban on the African National Congress, of which Mandela was a leader, suspended executions, and the following year, he freed Mandela himself. While Joe Biden was lying, getting everything from wars to judges wrong, and generally being the luckiest untalented politician in history, de Klerk was actually making a real difference for his country and the world.
The reality is, Joe Biden won a Senate seat from a tiny state and has used his hammerlock on it to amass influence he could peddle to make himself rich and win the presidency essentially by default. Add the world’s heaviest dose of media bias. Add Zuckerberg’s bucks donated to build Democrat vote machines in blue cities. With all of this, you could elect a reanimated corpse. And they did.
The reality is, Joe Biden has been a plagiarist and fabulist his entire political career. Most of the media ignore the fact that his 1988 presidential run – that’s how long he’s been in politics – flamed out once it was proven he’d stolen his biographical speech from an obscure British socialist. Joe Biden has been a plagiarist – thief – going all the way back to his university career, reports the New York Times. And he’s even lied repeatedly about that university career.
Enabling Biden’s self-dealing dishonesty across the decades only empowered and emboldened him. Over the years he’s repeated a lie about himself, South Africa, and Nelson Mandela, despite it being proven a lie repeatedly. He has plagiarized, smeared (he shamelessly told a black audience that Republicans – the party founded to end slavery and which voted to pass the 1964 Civil Right Act in greater percentage than the Democrats – would “put y’all back in chains”), and divided America his entire political career, putting himself first and his party over country the whole time.
Joe Biden was one of the senators who poisoned the judicial nominations process for decades, in service of the far-left Democrats as far back as the 1980s. The media let him get away with it. He lies about inflation and its causes now. The media lets him get away with it. He lies about his drug-addled son’s lucrative deals with Ukraine and even the Chinese communists, about which he dishonestly claims to know nothing. CBS just got around to reporting about that, fully two years and a mid-term election into his destructive presidency.
These are serious lies that speak to Joe Biden’s total lack of honesty and character. Selling out to the highest bidder, even when this includes our enemies, ought to be treated as the deeply serious national security issue that it is. America has not faced a threat as insidious as President Joe Biden, inveterate and shameless liar.
Virginia Woolf said, “If you do not tell the truth about yourself you cannot tell it about other people.” Joe Biden can’t tell the truth about anything, or anyone, at any time.
Always remember when you hear the grievance lobby screaming the words Mandela, apartheid, or white privilege, President F.W. de Klerk says, you're welcome.
