On January 17, 1961, Dwight Eisenhower ended his presidential term with a warning to the American people: Beware of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC). The corrupting influence of the alliance between the ever-expanding military and the defense industry that supplied it posed a threat to the United States, argued Eisenhower. Some 60 years later, the MIC is still going strong. In fact, it’s never been stronger. At the same time, however, there is another complex that has risen from the ashes of obscurity, an informal alliance between big pharma, billionaire philanthropists, healthcare providers, educational institutes, and government agencies. This unholy alliance, which continues to grow in power, influences government policy and preys on innocent children. It’s called the Trans-Industrial Complex (TIC)

The MIC thrived, and still thrives, because of war. For warmongers and weapons manufacturers, there's very little, if any, money to be made in times of peace. To remain profitable, war is necessary. Similarly, with the TIC, there's no money to be made with happy, content citizens; the profits come from chaos, confusion, and a desperate desire for change. Target the children, repeatedly and without remorse. Target the most vulnerable, the most impressionable, those whom are confused about their place in the world. Then, and only then, will you watch the money roll in.

Follow the Money

In a recent piece for Tablet magazine, the writer Jennifer Bilek discussed a “concerted push by members of one of the richest families in the United States to transition Americans from a dimorphic definition of sex to the broad acceptance and propagation of synthetic sex identities (SSI).” Over the past decade, as Bilek noted, the Pritzkers of Illinois, “have used a family philanthropic apparatus to drive an ideology and practice of disembodiment into our medical, legal, cultural, and educational institutions.” Politics is downstream from culture, they say. However, as Bilek’s article highlighted to devastating effect, culture appears to be downstream from politics. The money shapes the policies, and the policies shape the minds of the masses - the type of people who work at Big Tech companies, Netflix, Disney, as well as those employed by colleges and schools across the land.

The Pritzkers have close ties to former president Barack Obama, a man who served three terms in the Illinois Senate. Jay Robert "J. B." Pritzker, an American businessman, philanthropist, and politician serving as the 43rd governor of Illinois, and one of the family members discussed in Bilek’s piece, was a major fundraiser for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. Like everything in this country, if one wishes to locate the source of the problem, one must always follow the money. The Pritzkers, one of the richest families in America, have financed, and continue to finance, the trans movement. The family’s ties to the left are as undeniable as they are problematic, especially when all involved appear to be devoted to the idea of transitioning young children.

Some authors have argued that the current administration is desperately trying “to promote transgenderism in every corner of America.” Although this is a slight exaggeration, it’s important to remember that President Biden recently signed an executive order into effect, calling on the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services to increase access to gender-altering treatments for all Americans, minors included. Furthermore, over the last 12 months, his administration has spent at least $1.5 million on a "transgender programming curriculum" for inmates currently incarcerated. Is this a good use of taxpayers’ money? I’ll let you answer this question.

The Tyranny of the Minority

Compared to the general, non-trans population, the trans community is very small in size --  overall, 1.6% of the U.S. population identifies as trans or nonbinary, according to Pew. However, as most Americans know only too well, the trans movement is gaining momentum. Again, according to Pew, 5% of young American adults (people below the age of 30) identify as trans. The mania is spreading, and it’s spreading fast, hence the term 'rapid-onset gender dysphoria" -- a phenomenon that's attributable to peer pressure and social contagion. The number of young people identifying as trans has more than doubled in recent years. According to a recent report published by the Williams Institute, 1 in 5 people who identify as transgender are between the ages of 13 and 17. In other words, the people most likely to transition are also the most likely to succumb to peer pressure.  It’s important to note that the prefrontal cortex, the area of the brain dedicated to rational, objective thinking, doesn’t fully develop until the age of 25. Many of the teens opting to transition are ill-equipped to make the decision to transition in the first place. They are acting on emotion, not reason. Sentiment, not science.

Their parents/caregivers should know better. Moreover, the current administration should know better than to actively champion every trans-related cause. As the author Kat Rosenfeld recently noted, the Biden administration should familiarize itself with “the long-term side effects of using puberty blockers off-label,” as well as the fact “that patients who begin to transition as children are likely to experience infertility or sexual dysfunction.” A generation of children are being “rushed by a gung-ho medical establishment into lives, and bodies, that they didn’t really want.” Of course they are. It's part of the plan. The “gung-ho medical establishment” is a fundamental part of the TIC.

The educational establishment is also part of the complex. The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), an association of private K-12 schools and accreditation organizations services, represents more than 1800 schools throughout the country.  Serving more than 700,000 students, the NAIS also employs tens of thousands of teachers. It also pushes pro-trans training sessions. The NAIS recently partnered with Gender Spectrum, an organization that strives to “create gender sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens.” Why? To offer a 5-day workshop designed  to help educators “understand the value of gender-inclusive learning environments for all students.” The  workshop, which cost as much as $2000 to attend, focused heavily on the various types of gender identities (all 50+ of them) and the ways in which to create more gender-inclusive schools. Attendees, many of whom are educators and school administrative workers, are now equipped with even more trans-friendly knowledge and vocabulary. They will reenter schools in the fall with a renewed sense of purpose, eager to impart their newfound knowledge. A far from comforting thought for many readers, I’m sure.

Which brings us back to the prophetic Republican, Dwight Eisenhower. Although he was wise enough to see the threat of the MIC, not even he could have predicted the rise of the TIC. In truth, very few of us saw it coming. In the space of a decade, the TIC has consumed the country. The mania, which has spread like wildfire, continues to rob an increasing number of Americans, many of whom are young children, of their dignity, their health, and sometimes even their lives.
