House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik and House Select Committee on Climate Leader Garret Graves released a proposal to address climate change and the energy crisis, according to a non-profit.
The Republican Energy, Climate and Conservation Task Force was also involved in crafting the proposal.
"Conservatives have real solutions to solve the climate challenge and make energy more affordable," ClearPath Action CEO Rich Powell said in a statement, per Just the News.
He called it a “comprehensive plan that works.”
“It reduces carbon emissions, creates jobs, eliminates dependence on foreign adversaries resources, and will be well-received in every single Congressional district in America according to our research."
According to ClearPath Action, the proposal includes building “resilient communities” as well as unlocking American energy resources and innovation. The proposal also includes ways to beat China and Russia in the energy space and “conservation with a purpose.”
