The federal tax investigation into Hunter Biden is heating up as prosecutors seek to gather more information about his foreign business dealings.

Indeed, prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware sought more information related to Hunter’s income from Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings Ltd., a source told the Wall Street Journal, per The Hill.

They also questioned one of Hunter’s associates about his drug, alcohol and spending problems in 2018.

Additionally, prosecutors are reportedly investigating his business relationships in China and Kazakhstan.

The investigation into Hunter Biden for tax crimes began in 2018 and expanded to include possible violations of foreign lobbying and money laundering rules.

Earlier this month, Hunter paid off more than $1 million in tax liability with a loan, but that doesn’t protect him from charges.
