The Florida Legislature on Thursday passed a bill banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The state Senate voted 23 to 15 in support of the bill, a month after the House voted 78 to 39.
The legislation does not have an exception for rape or incest, but does include exceptions for threats to a mother’s life and “fatal fetal anomalies.”
The bill now heads to Gov. DeSantis for signature. He has expressed his support and is expected to sign it into law.
