The U.S. national debt surpassed $30 trillion for the first time in U.S. history on Tuesday, according to data from the Treasury Department.
As reported by Just the News, when Biden took office, the national debt was $21.6 trillion.
The government ran a budget deficit of $2.8 trillion in fiscal year 2021. The deficit slightly decreased, however, from a record-breaking $3.1 trillion in fiscal year 2020.
