The Democratic Party is sharing in the national loathing of President Joe Biden. That can only be good news for the Republicans as the midterms elections loom larger on the horizon.

You might think it would just be a Biden thing or at least a Biden-Harris thing.

Biden is at 33% in the latest national poll and Vice President Kamala Harris was struggling to stay above 40% in late December. It is surely a clash of the non-titans and a battle to see who can hit the basement first. Harris’ plan to provide more interviews might just be a clandestine operation to descend below Biden in popularity. There can be no other rational explanation.

To put things in perspective, just before President Richard Nixon resigned amid the Watergate scandal, he had an approval rating of 24%, indicating about a quarter of the population were core supporters who were prepared to support the president because although he may have broken the law and violated the public trust, he had demonstrated a remarkable degree of creative political activity and was consistently competent.

But a new Gallup poll reveals that the country has gone Democratic leaning to Republican leaning in 2021 – during the first year of the Biden presidency, with the GOP leading the Dems 46% to 44%.

But that gap could and probably will increase as Biden’s unpopularity increases. The President is in a position that is almost impossible to extricate himself from. He is not only at war with Americans but with his own party.

Biden has spent the last year appeasing, assuaging and paying homage to the leftists in his party – young and old. The kids like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) will never be satisfied with Biden until he implements the entirety of the Green New Deal and nationalizes the American economy. Biden has obliterated the southern border and eradicated the notion of an illegal immigrant to satisfy The Squad but that has only encouraged them to ask for more while alienating millions of Americans who are tired of watching illegals being relocated across America without even being vaccinated for COVID-19.

Even the old Left isn’t satisfied.

Leave it to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who continues to demand a purge of the Democratic Party even as it slides through the floor of popularity and even though he continues to refuse to identify as a Democrat! It is incredible when you think of it: the guy not only wants to be the party’s standard bearer but wants to tell real Democrats how they should vote and suggest they should be airbrushed out of the Senate roster if they don’t comply.

On Monday, the senior citizen of socialism tweeted:

“As the voting rights bill finally comes to the floor of the Senate, there is only one vote which will really matter. Will 50 Democrats vote to override the filibuster, protect American democracy and pass the bill, or will Manchin and Sinema vote with the GOP and let the bill die?”

Well, give your head a shake, Sanders because the answer is clearly, “Yes.” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) are not going to vote to “override the filibuster” because they don’t support and they know a majority of their constituents don’t support it. What is truly astounding is that just a year ago a majority of Democratic senators didn’t support it either but the same legislators are now equating this democratic tradition with that “peculiar institution” of slavery.

It’s odd that Sanders, who gave Biden a run for his money in the 2020 Democratic primary, isn’t even mentioned as a possible contender for 2024. Instead, Hillary Clinton, as we discussed last week, is increasingly on the lips of Democrats desperate for a political savior.

What’s really odd is that the Democrats don’t have any relevant issues to discuss in 2022. While Sanders is obsessed with the filibuster, Biden remains focused on “voting rights,” and continues to issue outrageous statements about voting integrity laws that insist people actually have ID to vote being analogous to the poll taxes of Jim Crow. Have the Democrats ever produced anyone who can say they were denied their right to vote for an illegitimate reason – namely that they could not cast a ballot because of their race?

Of course not. But that hasn’t stopped them from inventing a political crisis.

The problem for Democrats is that actual voters aren’t buying into it and they aren’t too concerned about whether people want to be addressed as he, she, or they.

But voters do care about what their children are being taught in school and it is truly mind-boggling that the Democrats did not learn the lesson of the Virginia gubernatorial election. Glenn Youngkin was inaugurated this week but he was never supposed to even come close to becoming governor of what was considered a safe blue state. There was so much voter apathy in Virginia that it elected a clown like Ralph Northam, another Democratic hypocrite who posed in a racist yearbook photo and who supported a virtual infanticide bill.

But that apathy turned to activism when all those parents decided they had had enough and started appearing before school boards to demand an end to Critical Race Theory. They began to erode that solid Democratic support when Youngkin was responsive and ultimately victorious in the election. It marked a turning point in Republican fortunes after the controversial and catastrophic 2020 presidential election and the subsequent Senate runoff elections in Georgia which marked the nadir for American political vitality.

But here are the Michigan Democrats this week telling parents they have no role in how schools educate their children. Just how politically stupid can a party be?

We may not have seen the end of it, given the cast of characters dominating the White House.

But thanks to the commonsense of a few Democrats and the idiocy of many, Americans are increasingly weary of the rhetoric of being woke and long for the reality of being awake to freedom.
