Human Events Senior Editor Brent Hamachek appeared on the Steel Truth to discuss the Red Wave that hit Virginia and New Jersey and how important it is to keep looking forward.

“We need to stop thinking of elections as being an end in and of themselves. They’re not. If you go back...five years ago, we had a big night if you’re a conservative. We’ve got the House, we’ve got the Senate, we’ve got the White House,” he said. “Everybody’s excited. Look where we are today. The last time I checked, four years after that, the democrats had the House and the White House and the Senate...these are just data points.”

“It’s not about one data point or two, it’s about a cluster of data points in the direction you’re traveling in,” he continued. “Right now, last night, we got a great data point, but a single data point doesn’t alter trajectory. You need a lot more data points in the same direction to start to alter trajectory and we need to stop thinking about just winning elections as if that’s what matters.”
