A new video provided to the Daily Caller shows hundreds of illegal immigrants crowded in a Texas park where temporary tents were set up to house those who tested positive for COVID-19.
The temporary facility was set up within Mission’s Anzalduas Park, out of the public view, after the city of McAllen issued a disaster declaration due to the release of approximately 1,500 COVID-positive migrants over the weekend.
Video footage shows the park, where migrants crowd under a large pavilion and move between several tents.
Law enforcement officials prevented friends, family and journalists from entering the park, per the Daily Signal.
People who waited outside the park to pick up the migrants said they had no idea their friends and family were being held in a COVID-positive facility.
“We came here to pick them up, but they told us we can’t go in,” a man said. “They said we can’t come in because they have COVID.”
