Florida Sen. Rick Scott said Tuesday that the U.S. should shut down the Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C. because it represents an “illegitimate government.”

“We also need to shut down the Cuban embassy. It’s an illegitimate government,” Scott said, according to Just the News. “They shouldn’t have an embassy here in D.C. North Korea doesn’t. Iran doesn’t either.”

Scott, who has been a vocal supporter of Cuba, even released a bilingual advertisement calling on Biden to lead, rather than wait on the international community.
