After widespread speculation on who really calls the shots in Washington, the White House has officially instructed federal agencies to call Joe Biden’s administration the “Biden-Harris administration.”
The move is supposedly designed to elevate the status of Kamala Harris, according to a federal employee who shared an email with Outspoken, per BizPacReview.
“Please be sure to reference the current administration as the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’ in official public communications,” the email reads.
The White House pushed the new narrative on Twitter as well.
“Big news: the Biden-Harris Administration set a new record this weekend with 6 million shots reported administered,” a tweet read Tuesday.
Even the White House Twitter bio has been adjusted to reflect the change: “Welcome to the Biden-Harris White House!,” it reads.
It is critical to mention that neither of the two previous administrations grouped the vice president into the administration title in this manner.
As reported by BizPacReview, the Obama White House description read “follow for the latest from President Obama and his administration,” and the Trump White House description read “follow for the latest from President Donald Trump and his Administration.”
Both were referred to as the Obama administration and Trump administration, respectively.
The language also appears on the websites of all 15 executive departments. Press releases and other communications from the Department of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, Veterans Affairs and the Attorney General refer to it as such.
In previous Human Events opinion pieces, Turning Point USA founder and conservative thought leader Charlie Kirk has gone so far as to call it the Biden-Harris-Biden administration.
Now, it’s becoming reality.
The change comes as questions pile up about Biden’s cognitive and physical health, especially following his major tumble up the steps of Air Force One on Friday. His administration blamed the fall on the wind, but White House press secretary Jen Psaki changed the narrative, urging the steps are simply “tricky.”
Additionally, last week Biden referred to Kamala as “President Harris.”
“Now, when President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that tour injecting people and giving vaccinations said that each shot was like administering a dose of hope,” Biden said at the White House.
