MANCHESTER, N.H. - Minutes after the last polls in New Hampshire closed, Republican primary voters made Mitt Romney the winner.  With at least two networks making projections after the last polls closed in the Granite State, Romney is a cinch to win first place with Ron Paul in second.  According to CNN , the likely figures are 36 percent Romney and 25 percent Paul.

In the race for the coveted third place, Jon Huntsman has emerged on top with 18 percent of the vote, according to CNN’s polls edging out Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich with 11 percent each. While the evening will no doubt have many interpretations from sources, it seems that it gives a bit of life support to the Huntsman candidacy and may cause some soul searching in the Gingrich and Santorum camps.
