Leave it to New Jesey Governor Chris Christie to generate a video highlight out of a press conference announcing hurricane preparations. You almost expect him to say "I got your hurricane right here!"
The governor said that the seriousness of the situation has "not diminished one bit" and is calling on residents and visitors to get out now before it becomes too difficult. He also said that people should first try to stay with friends or family and only show up at shelters as a last resort.
"I saw some of these news feeds that I've been watching of people sitting on the beach in Asbury Park - get the hell off the beach at Asbury Park and get out," Christie said. "You're done. It's 4:30 - you've maximized your tan. Get off the beach."
