In March Harry Reid told MSNBC, "The tea party is over!"

But it wasn't. In fact, the tea party forced democrats to promise to cut spending before raising the debt limit this month.

Yesterday Harry Reid told journalists again that he wants expects the tea party to fade away.

The LVRJ reported:

Democrats were tossed from office in record numbers last November. That groundswell is shaping the 2012 campaign.

But Reid doesn't expect it to last. "The Tea Party was the result of a terrible economy," he said. "I've said that many times, and I believe that."

"That (the Tea Party) will pass. They will lose a number of seats next year."

Keep dreaming, Harry. Unfortunately, for you and Obama, the tea party is here to stay. Just wait until next year!
