Chelsea Clinton’s wedding guest list seems to be held as highly classified as the nuclear codes in the president’s “football.”

So far, the only confirmed attendees the bride, groom and their parents- President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky.
Human Events reports exclusively that Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw are not attending Chelsea’s wedding. “They are both out of the country,” Spielberg’s spokesman Marvin Levy. When asked if they were invited, Levy would not comment on “personal” issues.
As Human Events reported, Oprah Winfrey, Ted Turner and Doris Kearns Goodwin are also among those wrongly reported to be invited to the July 31 wedding. Al and Tipper Gore were invited, but are not attending.
Barbra Streisand continues to refuse comment on her attendance. The singer’s rep tells Human Events that she “has no knowledge of that,” in reference to the wedding.
President Obama seems embarrassed not to have made the cut for the Clinton nuptials. I’ve called the White House press office three times in two weeks with the same question: “Was President Obama INVITED to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding?”
The press officers responded that they would find out and return my calls; they never did. Perhaps White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs’ staff did not read President Obama’s memorandum on his administration’s commitment to “unprecedented level of openness” and a “system of transparency.”
In an interview on ABC’s daytime talk show “The View” which aired Thursday, Barbara Walters asked the president directly if he was invited. The president conceded that he was not invited to Chelsea’s wedding. “"I was not invited to the wedding because I think Hillary and Bill, properly, want to keep this thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband," he said.
Another mystery guest is Chelsea’s first long-term boyfriend Ian Klaus. Some believe Klaus is now on friendly terms with Chelsea and her fiancé Marc Mezvinsky and so may be invited. Klaus did not return requests for comment.
Al Gore Interview in Sexual Assault Case
Portland police interviewed former Vice President Al Gore about the sexual assault charged by licensed massage therapist Molly Hagerty. The detectives traveled from Oregon to San Francisco on July 22 to meet with Gore, according to The National Enquirer.

Every mainstream media outlet report on Gore’s interview with police cites KATU News as the source of the San Francisco meeting. The local news report on July 26, however, came after The National Enquirer’s story on July 23 which was ignored by the MSM.
This latest development in the sexual assault case against Gore is part of Portland Police Chief Michael Reese assigning his detectives to conduct “a complete investigation in an expedited manner.” Spokeswoman Detective Mary Wheat did not respond for comment about the San Francisco meeting with Gore.
Reese released a statement on July 1 that he was re-opening the 2006 case against Gore because of “procedural issues.” Reese stated that there “should have been command level review at the time on the specifics of this case and decisions on whether the investigation should go forward.”
When reached for comment, Gore family spokeswoman Kalee Kreider said she would not comment on the case while the process is still ongoing.
