Obama Wants to Bankrupt Coal Power Plants

What is it about San Francisco and Barack Obama?  The salt air of the city by the bay appears to have a sodium pentothal-type effect on the Democrat presidential candidate, creating the political equivalent of other-worldly phenomenon:  truth passing through Obama’s lips.  If you’ll recall, San Francisco is where Obama voiced his disdain for rural Americans bitterly clinging to God and their guns.

Over the weekend, yet another tape surfaced exposing the far-left views Obama has so successfully masked from the voting public with the help of his co-conspirators in the “mainstream” media.  In January, he gave an interview to the San Francisco Chronicle exposing an additional small slice of the tyranny we can all expect from an Obama administration.  In his own words and voice, Obama explains the tactics he would use to destroy the coal industry in America:

“Let me sort of describe my overall policy.  What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there.”

“I was the first to call for a 100 percent auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.”

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.”

You can listen to more of Obama in his own words here.

Are you listening yet, Pennsylvania?

Obama’s Kenyan Aunt Onyango An Illegal Alien

Also late breaking last week was the revelation that Obama’s Kenyan aunt Zeituni Onyango has been living in the United States illegally and has been under deportation order for over four years.  The federal government has launched a full investigation into whether or not laws were broken in the disclosure of Onyango’s immigration status.  No word on whether or not there will be an investigation into how Onyango managed to qualify for public housing while under a court-issued deportation order.  In what will likely become a trend should he lose the election, the Obama campaign claims it is in the process of returning the $260 Onyango has contributed in small increments over the past year.  Non-citizens are also barred from making campaign contributions by federal election law.
