A professor at a Kentucky campus is under investigation after encouraging her students to “destroy” a conservative display on campus.

The Associated Press reports that Sally Jacobsen, a literature and language professor at Northern Kentucky University, admits to telling her students to “destroy” an anti-abortion display on campus.

"I did, outside of class during the break, invite students to express their freedom-of-speech rights to destroy the display if they wished to," Jacobsen said.

A student group called Northern Right to Life set-up some 400 crosses on campus to represent a “cemetery for aborted fetuses” according to the news story. But, those crosses were pulled from the ground and trashed.

Professor Jacobsen said nine students in one of her graduate-level classes dismantled the display, reports the AP.

James Votruba, the school’s president said, "I don't know if she was pulling up the crosses, but I think she was out there with the students. If so, as far as I'm concerned, she went outside the conditions of her employment," Votruba said.

The president of Northern Right to Life would like to see legal action taken.
