As Robert Novak reported yesterday in a special edition of the Evans-Novak Political Report, it’s not some much a question of whether Rep. Tom DeLay will defeat his lesser-known Republican opponents in today’s primary, but whether he gets a big enough bounce to give him momentum for November.

We will find out soon enough just how DeLay performed in the GOP primary for his 22nd District seat. Also of interest: the Republican primary in Texas’ 17th District, featuring Iraq veteran Van Taylor vs. former Capitol Hill staffer Tucker Anderson; and in the conservative-leaning 28th District, the battle between two Democrats, Rep. Henry Cuellar and former Rep. Ciro Rodriguez.
