Political strategist Matt Lewis, a frequent contributor to the Right Angle, is heading up the North Dakota Judicial Confirmation Network, which will work with its national parent to support an up-or-down vote for Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.

Lewis, undoubtedly, will be shining the spotlight on the state’s two Democratic senators, Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad, as they face pressure from left-wing interest groups to oppose Alito. Dorgan and Conrad come from a red state that President Bush carried in 2004. Republicans believe senators from such states are most likely to vote in favor of Alito's confirmation.

If you’d like to contact Lewis, write him at [email protected]. He has some solid experience in North Dakota, serving as the campaign manager of Duane Sand’s U.S. House challenge to Democratic Rep. Earl Pomeroy.
