How Classy the Left Can Be

While I never gained entry into today’s Supreme Court hearing on military recruiters and higher education (I was number 56 of the 50 who gained entry), it was a great reminder to me on how incompetent and childish leftists can be.

Firstly, today’s case is on the constitutionality of the Solomon Amendment and the reluctance law schools have with inviting military recruiters to campus. However, that didn’t stop the Left from mindlessly protesting with signs that read “Recruiters Lie, Children Die” and “Choose Books, Not Guns.” Well, if every capable male was committed to becoming the next Socrates, any terrorist group would have an easy time murdering Americans. The fact is that we need bodies to fight and protect us. It’s as though liberals will take any occasion to draw comparisons to the current situation of Iraq.

Secondly, the supposed gay-rights activists just didn’t get the idea about allowing their peers to exercise free speech to speak with JAG Core representatives. While in line, it was hard to miss their numerous protest demonstrations, which involved gay kiss-ins for all of First Street to see and also a constant prattling on how President Bush is evil.

How these demonstrations add to the debate over “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is a question they never answered or thought even had legitimacy to be answered.
