JACK POSOBIEC: January 6 was peaceful until they threw the flashbangs

“That they threw flashbangs or stun grenades at the crowd before I heard any call to disperse, before I heard any lawful order to disperse, before I heard that it had been declared an unlawful meeting.”

Five years after the January 6 riots, Jack Posobiec marked the anniversary with a firsthand account of what he says he witnessed in Washington that day, disputing the official narrative of how the violence began.

“I was there that day,” Posobiec said. “I was at the Ellipse, walked up to the Capitol, watched most of President Trump’s speech from the War Room with Rahim Kassam, walked down past the Capitol towards where my studio was at the time on Constitution Avenue.”

As Posobiec described it, the scene he observed before the riots escalated was calm. “As we were walking down Constitution Avenue, I’ll never forget this, I could see patriots standing peacefully, chanting, but peacefully on the steps of the Capitol. And I could see so many people there.”

Posobiec also recalled the night before the riots, January 5, when he addressed the crowd. “I had spoken the night before on January 5, so the eve of January 6, a number of us spoke the night before,” he said. “I called out the Chinese Communist Party, among others, called out the election problem and said we need to fix this. But that was a peaceful crowd that I saw.”

According to Posobiec, what happened next has been obscured or ignored. He pointed to footage later documented in the film Investigate J6, saying it aligns with what he has consistently stated since 2021.

“I’ve always said this,” Posobiec said. “That they threw flashbangs or stun grenades at the crowd before I heard any call to disperse, before I heard any lawful order to disperse, before I heard that it had been declared an unlawful meeting.”

He emphasized that the crowd remained nonviolent up to that moment. “Again, they were standing around peacefully. They were peaceful.”

Posobiec urged viewers to examine the footage themselves. “Watch what the documentary showed that was found, who actually started the violence on January 6,” he said. “There was a peaceful crowd right up until that moment when the stun grenades were thrown.”

“This is what I’ve always said for years,” he continued. “Watch it for yourselves.”

The footage in the film leaves little room for doubt, he said. “Now you can see it right there. There’s no question. The crowd was peaceful and then munitions were thrown upon them.”

“Stun grenades, flashbangs,” Posobiec concluded. “We all know what happened next.”
