Jack Posobiec of Human Events and Viva Frei talked about the recent revelation that Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, has pled guilty to tax crimes, and how the legal treatment of Biden is much different than the treatment of Trump.
Posobiec brought up Trump’s trial date being set for August 14.
He asked Frei: “What is going on? Have you seen anything like this in your experience as a litigator?”
”By all accounts, this is a pro forma; you schedule the date knowing darn well it's gonna get pushed back because they have to do document collecting, requests for evidence, all sorts of stuff,” Frei responded. ”So I don't think there's any reasonable chance that it's actually going to occur in all of this."
Frei continued: “We've read the indictment. Serious, serious allegations, at the same time that Hunter Biden is now announced to have struck a plea deal for an investigation that had been lasting five years. We need to appreciate what this means. They've been investigating Hunter Biden for five years, while simultaneously, in 2020, telling us or suggesting to the general public that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. People need to piece those two timelines together and appreciate that intelligence actively lied to the American people for the purposes of influencing an election, and they did it.”
”No, that's exactly right,” Posobiec responded. ”They knew they had this laptop long before we did. We broke down yesterday on the show. And I'll put it on for everyone again, that at the time, they didn't even need the laptop [in order] to open the investigation because they had already had reporting from an informant telling them about the same activity that is delineated on the laptop.”
Frei said that “they lied for years to influence that [2020] election, which it did.”
"Now it seems that they're prosecuting or persecuting Trump for the exact same things they should be potentially looking into Biden for,” he added. ”They reveal this as they disclosed that Hunter Biden got the sweetest deal that anyone has ever gotten for felonious lying on a firearm application and tax fraud. But what's behind the tax fraud? I think [it] is going to be the biggest issue yet. If we ever get there.”
Posobiec concluded: “You have the same intelligence agencies that had him under investigation that, by the way, for myself, for you, for anybody else who went and lied on a firearm application. If this is for a pistol brace [or] bump stock, whatever it is, we would be going away. We would be stripped of our Second Amendment rights.”
“We'd have our guns confiscated. We'd be in jail, the book would be thrown at us. But if your last name is Biden, if your last name is Clinton, there's another set of laws on the books for you. And we're trying to piece together what those laws might be, as opposed to the laws for the rest of us, and then the new set of laws that they've invented if your last name happens to be Trump.”
