Jack Posobiec spoke on Wednesday about the recent developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, and how President Trump’s “October surprise” ahead of the midterm elections could be bringing the conflict to its end. Ending the war was a campaign promise in 2024.

“Huge news, of course, coming out of Ukraine and Russia, with number one, on the back of the diesel deal and on the back of Steve Witkoff going over and making this incredible high-profile meeting. He's flown to St. Petersburg. Witkoff now meeting with Vladimir Putin, has secured the release of a US citizen, Stephen Hubbard. He's going to be flying home with Witkoff as we speak.

“Witkoff also sat down with Vladimir Putin to discuss not just this, not just the diesel deal, but also potentially ending the Ukraine war.

“And at the same time, simultaneously, we're seeing President Zelensky was on Fox and Friends this morning, and he came out and said, as far as I can tell, for the very first time ever, that he's willing to end the war along the contact line, freeze it along the current line of the contact between the two armies, and then it sounds like he's dropping his demand to get the territory back of the Donbas and have the Russian military pull out.

“Are we seeing, ladies and gentlemen, are we seeing an October surprise of President Trump be the end of the Ukraine war? It very well could be, and if that takes place, that's going to be something that speaks to a core promise of 2024 that a lot of people, and rightfully so, were asking: Is the president going to be able to do this? Is he going to be able to pull it off?

“Because you've got two sides there, and the president has said many times that it's almost like they just don't want to stop fighting. And of course, as a guy with last name Posobiec, I'm happy to tell you that the Slavs do not like signing peace deals. They like fighting until the bitter end. That's usually how things go in that part of the world, and yet, if anyone was going to get a deal on this, if anyone was going to put an end to it, and to do so, by the way, in the interests of America, and can directly point to something that's a tangible benefit for the American people, it's Donald J. Trump.

“What do they get? They get the diesel out of the area. That's the farmers in Iowa, the farmers in Nebraska, the farmers in Kansas. It's the lobster boats up in Maine with the diesel that's fueling them."

He later added, “President Trump can pull this off,” noting that Hillary Clinton has said she would nominate Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if he achieves it.

“And so we've now seen the president show that he put a little bit of leverage on Zelensky. Obviously, he was putting leverage on the Russians by not signing whatever deal they wanted initially. We went up to Anchorage, and of course, accompanied the president as well to Anchorage for that historic summit with Putin, with Lavrov. And by the way, where was Lavrov this week? Lavrov just had an incredibly high-profile meeting in Tehran with the Iranians.

“So, could it be that behind the scenes, President Trump, Marco Rubio, and the rest are now working on a peace deal with Russia that includes putting leverage on the Iranians to end the fighting in Iran and actually close down the entire arc of stability that runs from Moscow to Kyiv, all the way down to the Strait of Hormuz?”
