KATIE ZACHARIA to JACK POSOBIEC: The fake news didn't want me to 'effectuate my mission'
I have actually enjoyed being back on the outside ... I'm able to take every single experience and turn it into reflection on what President Trump has done."

Katie Zacharia, who briefly served as the White House press secretary earlier in October, joined Jack Posobiec on Human Events Daily on Tuesday to talk about her 5 days in the role, as well as the midterm races that are heating up one week out from the midterms.
Posobiec, who had interviewed her just days after she took on the White House role, told Zacharia, “Now, Katie, obviously, a lot has happened since we last spoke in the White House. A lot's been said about it, both publicly, privately, but we haven't really heard from you specifically or personally on it. So I wanted to give you the opportunity to talk about everything from your side of the story.”
“Well, Jack, you were my only in-person interview, and you were the exclusive at the White House, and I loved the opportunity to be able to do that with you, and you've been excellent not just to me but also to the president for so long, and that was incredible,” said Zacharia.
“And you know, Jack, we spoke about this, and I reiterated that the press and the fake news and the mainstream media wanted me to be completely distracted on everything else and not be able to actually effectuate my mission, which was to be able to deliver for the president and amplify what he's doing, and I have actually enjoyed being back on the outside because the daggers are out by the media, and I'm able to take every single experience and turn it into reflection on what President Trump has done.
“And I know he's just touched down in Texas, which is one of the tightest races going on, which shouldn't be, but is indicative of the fact that our country is in a major shift right now, and President Trump is at the forefront of all of these intense Senate races, doing exactly what a president should be doing, but no other president has done, which is to ensure that we at least put everything we have into winning in the midterms,” she said.
The conversation pivoted to major midterm races being watched, with Posobiec asking Zacharia, “How do you look at races like Texas and Michigan, for example?”
Zacharia said that Texas, typically a deep red state, “should have never been at play,” adding, “I cannot, for the life of me, understand how any God-fearing good Texan is going to go out and vote for James Talarico.”
“So that brings me to my first question: Do we believe the polling data that we're seeing out of Texas? And if so, I think what we're seeing is the president is hedging his bets and has visited Texas a number of times. He has two stops today, and the other thing that the president has done that no other president has done on the midterms is he's delivering for each, especially tight-race state, but across the country, actual measurable results.”
Zacharia noted that Trump and State secretary Marco Rubio have announced the first shipment of oil from Venezuela, adding, “so what President Trump has shown is I'm not only campaigning for Ken Paxton, who's been the best attorney general in Texas's history, and quite frankly, maybe in the United States history as far as attorney generals go. But I'm also delivering measurable and fine outcomes that are going to deliver energy price, you know, energy to Texas to bring down the prices, and it's also delivering on his promises, which is drill, baby, drill, and energy independence and energy dominance.”
The two spoke on Paxton’s accomplishments in office, such as securing the border during the Biden administration’s open border years, with Zacharia saying, “James Talarico, where was he when our border was being invaded? What's his position on illegal immigration?”
“Well, the Democrat National Committee has adopted the abolish ICE as part of their platform with Ken Martin, and so is James Talarico, as the primary candidate for Senate, is he endorsing the abolish ICE platform, and what will he do as a senator to ensure that our country is protected when he is at a very prime border state? Nothing. He will side with the Democrats. He will not protect the United States, and he certainly will not be protecting Texas if we have the full-fledged invasion that we had under Joe Biden.”
Turning attention to the northern border, Posobiec noted Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s support of abolishing ICE.
Zacharia said, “not only that, Jack, is that Abdul El-Sayed has been outspokenly against the auto industry, and what President Trump has done with Ford and with GM and a few other auto companies is he's been able to broker major deals in relation to his tariffs.”
“Abdul El-Sayed has essentially said on a number of occasions in different ways that cars are like cigarettes. And how are you endorsed by the American Auto Workers Union in Michigan if you are basically speaking out against the entire industry that fuels the state of Michigan?”
“This is what Abdul El-Sayed, the message is: is he's not there for Michigan. He's not there to be a senator for Michigan. He's there to toe the DSA party line and ensure that whatever they want, whether it's abolish ICE or Medicare for all or no Senate, no cons— you know, basically upend everything that the DSA candidates want to upend with our country. He's there to toe the party line, not represent the people of Michigan.”
Zacharia noted that Vice President JD Vance has been out on the campaign trail too, with Posobiec saying that he’s been seen “far more than his predecessor Pence was in the midterms back in 2018.”
Zacharia said, “Yes, Vice President Mike Pence was quite sleepy, as one would say, or was reminiscent of the Bush era in terms of really not being aggressive out on the trail. Vice President Vance has seen such enthusiasm, such energy, but really partnering with what President Trump is doing through these midterms. He is essentially taking the lead on Ohio and looking at Michigan and a lot of Nebraska, a lot of these other states.”
Posobiec asked if Zacharia had anything she could reveal on the show about the next week leading up to the midterms, with Zacharia replying, “Well, I would just say stay tuned, and we have exciting things, and I look forward to being a huge advocate for the president, no matter what I'm doing.”
