Looking at the news from Portsmouth, UK over the weekend, it becomes clear that those who want to preserve their nation must fight their own governments to do it. Is this headed to civil war in Britain? British people, it seems, don't want more illegal migration to their little island. But their government, headed by Andy Burnham, seems intent on not only allowing it but encouraging it.
Other leaders said sure, peaceful protest is A-OK, but showing up in an effort to block those migrants from entering the country under the escort of their UK Border Force and the Maritime Coastguard Agency, under the guidance of the Home Office, is considered "thuggish behaviour," according to 10 Downing Street.
The men at Portsmouth kept their faces covered, marching in black, refusing to show their identities. They're in a country that punishes political speech both in public and online. They were disparaged by their own government for doing it—even though that government could imprison them for their actions. They shouted "Christ is King" as they walked into the see to stop the barbarians from coming ashore.
Maybe barbarians is too harsh a word, but I think we've seen over the past several years that many of those who come to the west from their own homelands do not wish to be of the west, do not wish to adopt our values, and seek instead to gain political control to turn our nations into facsimiles of their own. This makes it clear that they are not seeking a better life or to be part of the culture, but seeking to destroy western nations and take government handouts.
It is nothing short of an invasion using contemporary means and our own acquiescence rather than armies. Invaders have found that if they just let us believe they are pathetic we will turn over our nation to them just so we can believe we are "good people" according to a perverse, self-destructive leftist value system based on no cohesive morality.
Here in America, many people elected Trump simply to put a stop to the border invasions along the Rio Grande, through our airports, and by people taking advantage of visa programs to remain illegally in the United States. Like Britain, the government has been incredibly kind to those who break our laws to come in, giving them open and free access to the country, to taxpayer funded government benefits.
Housing benefits, cash assistance, work authorization, free phones, court dates endless years into the future, the frequent wiping out of asylum cases to just allow those persons to stay in the US without legal status, have all been pushed through by government leaders claiming to represent us and our interests. But so many of them represent their own interests and the interests, apparently, of foreigners over Americans.
Illegal border crossings are down to zero. The State Department under the Trump administration are cracking down on visa overstays, terminating temporary protected status for people who have been here, temporarily, for decades, deporting criminals, and offering cash for voluntary deportations. They're putting an end to birth tourism operations, which is long overdue, and taking back control of who gets to take up residence in America and who doesn't.
But what happens if Democrats take back control of Congress or the White House? When they fling the borders wide open and let in literally everyone and their mother's cousin, will Americans stand up to protect their nation or will we capitulate and wail on social media while letting it happen? Will we have the nerve of the men of Portsmouth who showed up to block the busses, to try to keep the boats from coming ashore?
The numbers are vastly different. In England, the boats coming ashore from France hold some 140 or so migrants, mostly men, who are then set free in Britain to wait for better government housing so they can bring their whole families across. The UK saw a little more than 800,000 in 2025. America saw 3 million or more every year under Biden. And that's what we can expect if Americans do not hold the line and keep our government in check.
