Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec reacted Wednesday to the arrest of a former Southern Poverty Law Center executive on allegations involving payments to informants, with Posobiec noting it's “reciprocity” against those who politically targeted the right.
It comes after Heidi Beirich, the former chief financial officer at the Southern Poverty Law Center, was arrested on fraud charges for allegedly overseeing the organization’s payments to white supremacist group informants. One of those informants the SPLC paid out was allegedly her romantic partner. Attorney General Todd Blanche said on Wednesday, “I believe she was part of the effort to open bank accounts in completely fictitious companies’ names and make payments to individuals for reasons that were not accurate as described. This is exactly what we said would happen in a case like this, which is that our investigators and the US attorneys and the agents working the case will ... keep on working it even after the initial indictment."
Beirich was charged in a superseding indictment with fraud conspiracy, conspiracy to submit false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to conceal money laundering. The SPLC was indicted on similar charges earlier in 2026.
“The director of the SPLC's intelligence project has just been arrested. Ladies and gentlemen, that's what we're talking about right there. It is time for a little something that we call the Iron Law of Reciprocity. Iron Law of Reciprocity. Todd Blanche was confirmed just a few days ago. This arrest comes, boom, right now. And let's not forget what she did. She oversaw payments to these informants. Informants in what she called right-wing extremist groups. But these groups were being paid and funded by her. These groups were being organized and controlled by her and her little Intelligence Project over there at the SPLC. Now we're also, and remember, this was over $1 million to one informant that we're also told that she was having a relationship with, a sexual relationship with.”
Posobiec noted that these are on top of allegations on informants connected to extremist organizations and Attorney General Todd Blanche’s public confirmation of the arrest and charges. “And of course, this goes to, we're talking about the imperial wizard of the KKK, activity involving the National Alliance neo-Nazi group. Well, Attorney General Todd Blanche is out publicly confirming the arrest and charges as part of the ongoing investigation. Beirich previously led the SPLC's hate group tracking work before leaving and co-founding the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism. The SPLC has disputed the government's characterization, blah, blah, blah. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, it is time to start arresting the communists. And it is really simple. It is really simple. It's a law of the universe. That which is done to us, which will be done to you, to the specific people who were behind it. These are the people who lied. These are the people who set it up.”
Posobiec also made the link to the 2017 Charlottesville rally, which took place nine years ago on August 12, 2017.
“And by the way, by the way, it doesn't escape me that this is the same intelligence director and many of these informants were involved in Charlottesville, right, the Unite the Right rally. So the Charlottesville rally was actually an operation. And what day is today, folks? What day is August 12th? Today is the anniversary of Charlottesville. Nine years ago today. So, you know, it's just a little, I don't know, we could call it poetic justice, I suppose, that she's been arrested on the nine-year anniversary of her own crimes. A crime that they threatened to take down the entire country over.”
