On Thursday, aboard Air Force One, Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec asked President Donald Trump which countries he most wants to see join the new international Board of Peace.
Posobiec’s question came the same day Trump convened the Board’s inaugural meeting in Washington, DC where he announced that the United States would commit $10 billion toward stabilizing war-torn regions and promoting global security.
Posobiec asked, “You have the Board of Peace, obviously, there's a lot of countries that you're trying to get on. What countries would you like to see join the Board of Peace the most?” Trump responded, “Well, we have a lot that are on, and we have a lot that are going through the process of getting on. They have to get legislative approval, etc. And we've had millions of dollars put up already by the countries that are on. You saw some of the big players today. It's been very successful. Everyone's going to want to be on. Everyone wants to be on. Some have to go back to their legislatures to get approval.”
When Posobiec pressed about including powers like China and Russia, Trump confirmed, “I would love to have China and Russia. They've been invited. You need both.”
Thursday’s inaugural Board of Peace meeting included officials from more than 40 countries and the European Union, with some nations joining as full members and others, including Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, attending as observers. Trump emphasized the goal of tangible results and global stability, describing the Board as “all about an easy word to say, but a hard word to produce — peace.”
The meeting also included announcements related to Gaza, where the American-supported National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) opened applications for a new police force.
Roughly 2,000 applicants applied within hours. Nine nations pledged $7 billion toward Gaza reconstruction, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait.
