More than 40 European Parliament members have signed a letter to the EU president requesting that Elon Musk speak at a plenary session, referring to the American tech entrepreneur as a "trailblazer" with "groundbreaking achievements."

"The European Parliament has the potential to serve as a central platform for accelerating development and ensuring that the EU effectively represents the interests of all Europeans. We should initiate a broader dialogue on revitalizing Europe's productivity, both in capital-intensive and labor-intensive sectors, enabling the continent to remain competitive on the international stage," the letter reads, signed Tuesday by conservative members of the EU.

"As part of our efforts to host distinguished and symbolically significant guests, we propose extending an invitation to Elon Musk to address a Plenary session," the letter continues. "Musk, a trailblazer in the digital revolution, has redefined innovation by surpassing non-productive frameworks. We recognize the motivations that have driven his groundbreaking achievements, his visionary perspective on global progress, and his insights that could make the EU a hub of creativity and technological advancement, again."

The proposal comes as Musk, the owner of SpaceX, Tesla, and X prepares to join the incoming Trump administration to run DOGE, a new department of government efficiency aimed at eliminating unnecessary government expenditure. The American billionaire rose to prominence among conservatives after publicly supporting President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election and leaving the Democratic Party due to its far-left progressive agenda.

Musk has been at the forefront of historical technological advancements: pioneering private space exploration with SpaceX and revolutionizing the electric car industry with Tesla. Additionally, his acquisition of X, formerly known as Twitter, has allowed free speech to thrive on social media. He is respected worldwide for his innovative approach to business and technology.

Conservative members of the EU Parliament have praised the request, while left-wing critics have claimed that it is an attempt to further a conservative agenda and weaken the EU's DEI policies.

Musk has not publicly accepted the invitation at the time this report was published.
