Kate Middleton, the Princess of Whales, announced on Monday that she has completed chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer, something she shared with the world in a personal video message back in March.

She provided the update on X, calling it a "relief" but adding that "Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

Her written message was accompanied by a video showcasing various photos of the royal family and a voiceover from Princess Catherine.

She also stated: "The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you."

Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis in March after contemplation surrounding the princess' previous absence from the public. While she did not specify which type of cancer she ails from in her announcement, she said it was found when she "underwent major abdominal surgery" in January and has maintained a light public schedule.
