A shocking video went viral this week showing a trans activist violently flipping over a TPUSA display table and calling members Nazis at the University of Washington.
Turning Point USA field representative Rachel Anderson tweeted out a video of a student confronting TPUSA chapter members tabling and handing out pamphlets. The protestor accused TPUSA of supporting “the genocide of trans kids.” After a student asked the protestor which items on the table were “anti-trans,” the protestor responded, “You’re TPUSA, you dumb b****.” The protestor then flipped the table, yelled “F*** off my campus you Nazi,” and stormed off.
The hostility at UW towards TPUSA is likely related to an event the chapter recently held on campus. Last week, Turning Point USA co-hosted an event with Students for Life at the University of Washington titled Unapologetically Against Planned Parenthood, which featured pro-life activist and speaker Autumn Higashi. Because of this event, a planned protest was held on campus.
“The incident took place in front of a tour of potential students to the University, and several of those students expressed to me that they were in shock to see it in real life. I think we changed minds with just that interaction live in front of them. The potential students also helped us pick up and took materials.” TPUSA Field Rep Rachel Anderson said.
TPUSA students have seen an increase in hatred and intolerance from the radical left in recent months. Earlier this month, women’s rights advocate and former NCAA champion Riley Gaines spoke at an event at San Francisco State University hosted by TPUSA, where she was attacked and assaulted by a mob of violent trans-activists. Last month, TPUSA Founder Charlie Kirk spoke at UC Davis, where Antifa protested outside by graffitiing the building, smashing windows, and intimidating attendees.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, a TPUSA spokesperson explained that TPUSA chapter members are subject to a higher level of vitriol and violence than they have been in the past:
“Our students and their field staff supporters are the frontlines for so many of these cultural debates and controversies. They are subjected to being called the most horrible names, shunned and doxxed by fellow students, and persecuted by teachers and administrators. And they’re used to that.
"The organization is prepared for it. But the level of vitriol and anger that’s coming from the radical Trans Movement recently has been unlike anything we’ve seen. Rarely is there any debate or discussion. It almost always starts and ends with threats, tantrums and displays exactly like the one you see in this video from University of Washington. It’s unfortunate and it’s sad for these individuals, but it won’t deter TPUSA.” TPUSA said in a statement.
Students at UW are currently trying to identify the individual. Campus security is taking the incident seriously and is investigating on account of harassment and property damage.
