JACK POSOBIEC: This is not a forever war

“It’s not boots on the ground. It’s not George W. Bush. It’s not Dick Cheney. It’s not pallets of cash to the mullahs.”

On Monday’s episode of Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec said the US operation against Iran may conclude sooner than expected, pointing to remarks President Trump made from the East Room of the White House that morning.

“President Trump came out and said that it is possible that they are ahead of schedule. They are meeting the objectives ahead of schedule,” Posobiec said. “And as such, we may see Operation Epic Fury be conducted or wrap up even sooner than that.”

Posobiec compared the approach to what he called the “Venezuela model.”

“What did the United States do? The United States identified Maduro, conducted one raid, identified him as being the issue in that situation in Caracas, went in, exfiltrated him from the premises, and returned home,” he said. “That is not a forever war. It’s not. It’s just not. It’s not an endless war.”

He added, “It’s not boots on the ground. It’s not George W. Bush. It’s not Dick Cheney. It’s not pallets of cash to the mullahs.”

Posobiec also raised concerns about potential domestic consequences following the outbreak of hostilities. “We have seen here in the United States blowback already,” he said, referencing the Austin, Texas mass shooting. “Will this be the first of many? It remains to be seen.”

He tied the incident to broader immigration debates. “We lived for so long in this country under the policy of invade the world, invite the world,” Posobiec said, adding of the suspected shooter in the Austin case, “This guy clearly does not view the United States of America as his nation.”

“What is an American? That’s not an American,” he continued. “He may have had American citizenship, at one point he had an American green card, at one point he had a visa that he overstayed, so he was an illegal at one point. But this guy is not an American. He was never an American.”

“They are bringing their ethnic feuds. They’re bringing their blood feuds. They’re bringing their foreign loyalties with them to the United States,” he said. “There are millions upon millions that have been brought in without the vetting, not just illegally, but even cases like this, legally as well.”
